I have been in the United States Marines for the last decade. I have a Wife and a Son. I like short walks on the beach, watching the sun go down and any type of explosion. I love life and freedom. I like deviant art because it's actually a place where artists can express themselves and share with the world where any other site would just be a place to store or host pictures for what ever. I have been interested in drawing and photography for a while but I am just now getting a start on the photography, primarily cuz I'm not so hot with the pen.

Nice photos, not sure how much you can spend but check into the Nikon D60 great camera and doesn't cost to much :)

I was looking at that camera, but from what I've seen the Nikons are a little bit harder to use as far as changing the settings and such. That's why I'm aiming more toward the Canons. I'm working with about a thousand for a new camera so we're talking about a huge upgrade from the 400 dollar fujifilm finepix. No matter what I get it's going to be a lot better.

I understand, they are both good companies and make great cameras. Yea, you will be able to tell a difference.
